Twenty Five years ago to the day I was made redundant from my well paid, corporate job as a Partner in a firm of Chartered Surveyors in the West End of London.
I was just another victim of the 1990’s recession.
It was uncomfortable at the time but if it hadn’t happened, I probably wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today.
Twenty five years is a long time to be a property investor and I’ve learned a lot along the way.
When I first started, buy to let had only just started, and hardly anyone was doing it, talking about it, or teaching and training it.
A lot has changed, but a surprising amount is still the same.
In property investing, the principles are ageless.
